Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2026
Who we are
KovaWeb is a web design agency specialising in websites for UK specialist medical practices. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you visit our website or use our services.
What data we collect
When you submit our website audit request form, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, practice name, speciality, website URL, and any additional message. When you use our free website health check tool and submit the follow-up form, we also collect your name, email address, practice name, the URL you scanned, and the performance score result.
When you use our free website health check tool, your browser sends the URL you enter directly to the Google PageSpeed Insights API. This means Google receives the URL you submitted, your IP address, your browser user agent, and a referrer indicating the request originated from kovaweb.uk. This data is processed by Google under their Privacy Policy and API Terms of Service. We do not control how Google processes this data beyond the scope of the API request.
We do not collect any data automatically beyond what Netlify (our hosting provider) and Cloudflare (our DNS provider) collect as standard, such as anonymised server logs.
Lawful basis for processing
Under UK GDPR, we process your personal data on the basis of legitimate interest (to respond to your enquiry and deliver the audit you requested) and, where applicable, your consent (for follow-up marketing communications). You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.
How we use your data
We use the information you provide to deliver the free website audit you requested, to communicate with you about our services, and to follow up on your enquiry. We will not use your data for any other purpose without your consent.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your form submissions are processed by Web3Forms and delivered directly to us via email. Cloudflare provides hosting, DNS and CDN services. Google processes data when you use our website health check tool (see above). All three services are GDPR compliant.
International data transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the UK, including the United States, by our infrastructure providers (Web3Forms, Cloudflare, and Google when you use the health check tool). These transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, including the UK-US Data Bridge and Standard Contractual Clauses. You may request further details about these safeguards by contacting us.
How we store your data
Form submissions are delivered to us via email through Web3Forms. We retain your data for up to 12 months after your last enquiry, or until you request deletion, whichever is sooner. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us.
Your rights under UK GDPR
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, object to processing of your data, and request a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@kovaweb.uk.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection. You can contact the ICO at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by phone on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
Our website does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. However, our infrastructure providers may set strictly essential technical cookies required for security and site delivery:
Cloudflare (DNS and CDN provider) may set __cf_bm (bot management, expires after 30 minutes) and cf_clearance (security challenge, expires after 15 minutes). These cookies are classified as strictly necessary under UK PECR and do not require consent.
Web3Forms does not set any cookies on your device.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other tracking technology on this website.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
